My Brother called me last night very exited. He asked me did I ever consider that the Ankh was a "Tool of a Craft". From what I know of Mystery Symbols and Craft - What he said made perfect sense. Though, I am a part of "something" :-) - I am not part of Masonry - so I do not know of their rites except as what is commonly available.

I will say, Mr. Hard - You are on the Write Path. You have chosen a Tool - However, the Took is but a symbol of something that you personally have to manifest. To do this you have to of course Master your Thoughts, Master Your Actions and then Set them both to Purpose.

I would read not religiously, but read - The Book of Coming Forth in Day and Night - Commonly referred to as the Book of the Dead. Wallis Budge is an accepted reason though its being retranslated.

Mr. Hand, if you master your self - You do not need a mediator between yourself and God.

You can go to www.secretoftheankh to learn more of what I understand.
If you google secret of the ankh - you will see lots of people incorporating my understanding in their work

Thank you for your post.

You can go to my website blog. www.secretoftheankh.com to understand what I understand.

Hi Reggie. I have a story to tell you, since it seems you have a tremendous amount of information regarding the meaning of the Ankh. I'm a 33 years old man from Greenland, born in the capitol of Nuuk. Ever since I was a kid, I've always had a great interest in the spiritual matters..

And also in the pyramids of Egypt and astrology amongst many other things. My sister, mom and grandma all have abilities and I've had some experiences myself.

Well here's the thing.. 3 times in my life I've heard this 'voice'. All 3 times during my sleep. The strange thing is, each and every time I've heard this voice, the voice was the same. Like that of a man with a deep and calming tonality, even though it's been years apart. Each time I've heard it, the dreams have been much more lifelike than anything else I've ever dreamt. And I've always known they were true.

Some years ago (approximately 10- 15 years) I went to sleep, after having consumed 2 cans of strong mocca (coffee). The reason I did this was because, I had found out that I could remember more dreams and that they got more intense.. and I love to sleep and dream a lot. What I was to learn later was that it's actually dangerous to do this, because you lose a lot of bodily fluid and the bodily water each of us has, is hardest to regain during sleep! When I found out, I stopped doing this.

Now here's my point. The reason I'm writing you is because of one of these dreams.

I dreamt that I was looking up on a starfilled night sky. In the sky there was this HUGE symbol! It took up most of the sky, perhaps 1/5 or so. It looked like a cross (the christian symbol), but had a round oval shape on top like a human head. The symbol was made of gold. It was turning around in the sky, sideways. Around the symbol there was a thin wooden shape. It was a frame, in the shape of a diamond (like on cards, not the gems). The wooden frame was in the color of mahogany, a mix of light and not so light brown. I was AMAZED at seeing this symbol, and I got a fantastic sense of sereneness and purity. I got 'goosebumps' in my dream and felt like I became light and started to float. Even though I wasn't physically present in the dream. I was more of an observer. Then I heard the voice. It spoke to me. It said: 'This is God!'. I woke up and felt like something really important had just happened. In fact, I was changed for life.

Some time passed. And I thought a lot of the dream. Like 14 days or a month. I was watching TV with my sister one evening. We were watching a funny 80's movie called 'House Party'. I can't remember if it was the first or the sequel or prequel 'cos I know at least 3 of those 'House Party' movies were made. But I believe it was the first of them.

During the movie I suddenly realized that one of the characters was actually WEARING this symbol that I had dreamt about! And I had at the time NEVER seen this symbol in real life! I cried out loud to my sister that it was the symbol from my dream. But I knew no further about it.

Now here comes something even more strange. I had a dream about being down at a very broad river. I was doing laundry in the river. I woke from the dream and there's was nothing unusual about it.

Then one evening we (my sister and I) once again found ourselves in front of the television. We were watching this documentary about Egypt and the pyramids. Then suddenly I recognized something! The camera team were filming at this river and I could recognize it all even though I had never been there. It was the Nile I found out. I was struck by awe as I was just about to tell my sister of this dream, that was an EXACT copy of the place I watched on telly. When SHE suddenly shouted out that she have had a dream about this place! We looked at each other and were extremely surprised when we found out we have had the same dream!

In this documentary, I once again stumbled upon this symbol on the wall of one of the pyramids! I had to figure out what it meant, now that I had found out that it was an Egyptian symbol and now had seen it twice on TV. I felt drawn towards finding out as soon as possible.

The next day I therefore went to the library to read up upon this in some books about Egypt. I searched and searched and finally found out what the symbol meant! :D Wee!

It was the Egyptians symbol for 'LIFE'! OMG!! Then it struck me..'This is god!' would then actually equal 'LIFE is God!' or 'This is LIFE!'

I immediately fell in love with this whole concept and I must admit, that I'm a TRUE believer in that! For years I've tried to get my hands on an Ankh because I'm certain that it would forever change my life. But I'm by nature a perfectionist and I wanted an exact copy of the symbol in my dream.

I searched all over for it on the internet. But all Ankhs were without this wooden frame. I spent so much time you wouldn't believe it. I've spent countless hours looking through pictures to find a match. Or to find documents, videos, writings and user submitted stories, to also find out if anyone have had the same dream or knew about this Ankh in a diamond shape. Then I finally found it. Some Indian woman by the name of Bahereh Khodadoost had actually made some clay and silver depictings of an Ankh in a diamond. She's an artist. I found her homepage and I wanted to hear about WHY she had made these- so I wrote her a long letter like this one. I wrote it many years ago. The thing is, she told me she just made it because she 'liked the shape'. She had no knowledge or spiritual relation to making it otherwise. You can see it on this direct link, if you feel like it http://heartizen.com/ANKH.htm and I can assure you it's no scam or virus- related link, since I wouldn't want to waste my entire time on writing such a long letter just to infect someone unfortunate. But it's up to you to check it out of course :)

Well the thing is. I even went as far as to check out ALL jewelry stores in Copenhagen (since I live in Denmark now), just to see if I could find a necklace that would satisfy my desire.. but with no luck. Then I started to check out if I could have one custom made. I could but it was WAY too expensive and I've had years of bad economy so that has stopped me so far. I finally searched and found some necklace pendants that I thought could be a decent replacement, but I had to acquire them directly from a shop by the pyramids in Egypt! Those were the only ones that almost suited my needs.

Only a year ago a female friend of mine was on her way to Egypt on vacation. I told her and BEGGED her to bring me one. I had the money. But for some odd reason I couldn't convince her to bring one back to me?!. And she was a co- worker and quite good friend. Even though I told her how much it meant to me. It's like I've been stopped so far from attaining one, but eventually it will happen. I'm sure of that.

I even want 2 tattoos. One on each of my shoulders with this symbol. Because at the time back then, it made sense, that life/or God is all around us.. So symbolically I wouldn't 'center' myself like if I got it on my chest. And like in old christian teachings (which I grew up with), God had his closest on his right and his 'furthest' on his left. So I would neither be close nor far from life but right in the middle of everything.. ;) Since I don't believe in God as a person. I believe in God as life.. and life as God. Since I also don't believe in good vs. evil but only in 'The Divine Proportion' or 'The Golden Ratio' or 'Phi' which I believe is the essence of life or 'God'.

Now to finish this letter, I would LOVE to have you give me your comments on this or tell me if you perhaps know of something I'm missing out or if you agree or would like to further investigate into this. I would be honoured to have you share your knowledge on this matter. I stumbled upon your video on YouTube while searching (ONCE more..) to see if someone out there know more than what I've seen and could guide me in some way to figure out what to do about this.

Yours sincerely Morten Hard

P.S. You could if you wanted to, try and contact Bahereh Khodadoost in order to get the original letter which will explain the whole matter in MUCH better detail, since I wrote it so many years ago, shortly after the dream and have a hard time remembering everything that happened back then. In case she's kept it in her e- mail.

Feel free to write me

Dear Bro Reggie
Thank you! I have found all of the information and discussions here so stimulating this morning. My own interest in Ma'at and the Ankh has to do with the Afrikan concept of uBuntu (I Am because We Are) and how this ties in with the concept of Oneness. I am the country coordinator of Humanity's Team (a global spiritual movement who has Oneness as our core principle) and as such active in awakening the Spirit of uBuntu/Oneness.

Regarding the Ankh I am interested in/intrigued by two aspects:
- The history of the ankh dating back further than the time of Ma'at and ancient Kemet.
- "The Ankh as the African Origin of Electromagnetism."

Regarding the history of the Ankh I am especially interested in its place in the cosmology and spirituality of the now almost extinct Koi San people who are said to be humanity's most ancient ancestors.

Here in SA we are blessed to still have in our midst brother Credo Mutwa (tuning 90 years of age in July I think and almost always seen earing the ankh around his neck) who is a Zulu Sangoma and High Sanusi. Apparently, Credo Mutwa who is also a leading expert in the occult history of Africa, a world acclaimed author, artist, poet, and sculptor, is also of Koi descent.

In his words in the article - http://credomutwa.com/about/biography-05/
Mysterious Africa the History of the Cross:
"This ankh was actually known by our people as the knot of eternity, or the knot of eternal life, and it was used even by Khoi San people, for purposes of healing. The greatest users of the ankh, were the almost extinct Khoi Khoi or Hottentot people. The Khoi Khoi said that the unsaid cross represented their great sun god, Heitsie-Ibib. The zulus, Xhosas and the Swazis and other Ngoni speaking peoples of South Africa also believed in a sun god, who died each evening to be reborn again each morning. Who died each winter and was reborn again each spring..."

And then regarding my second interest:
My interest in this aspect of the Ankh was awakened at a talk on recent archeological discoveries here in SA that I attended just two day ago when the electromagnetic and sound qualities of the Ankh (the beginning was the word) were mentioned as part of the presentation.

This morning I came across a website http://maat-order.org/blog/?p=202 that writes:
In the book “The Ankh: African Origins of Electromagnetism”, the author, Nur Ankh Amen, asserts that the Ankh served more than mere symbolic purposes during ancient times. According to Amen, the shape of the Ankh, when wrapped in coils, allowed it to carry an electromagnetic charge. This assertion further supports the theories that ancient Africans were the first to experiment with and harness the power of electricity, unlike traditional educational curriculum has shown us.

Finally, I am personally touched by the beautiful story of Ma'at that tells that in order for her to determine if a person was going to attain eternal life or not, the heart of the person was put on one side of a scale and a feather on the other. One would have to have a heart as light as a feather to attain eternal life and on a spiritual level, this rings close to my heart.

Thank you for allowing me to share these thoughts and questions on the Ankh.

I look forward to visiting your site again and to always stay in the question.

Dear Bro Reggie
Thank you! I have found all of the information and discussions here so stimulating this morning. My own interest in Ma’at and the Ankh has to do with the Afrikan concept of uBuntu (I Am because We Are) and how this ties in with the concept of Oneness. I am the country coordinator of Humanity’s Team (a global spiritual movement who has Oneness as our core principle) and as such active in awakening the Spirit of uBuntu/Oneness.

Regarding the Ankh I am interested in/intrigued by two aspects:
- The history of the ankh dating back further than the time of Ma’at and ancient Kemet.
- “The Ankh as the African Origin of Electromagnetism.”

Regarding the history of the Ankh I am especially interested in its place in the cosmology and spirituality of the now almost extinct Koi San people who are said to be humanity’s most ancient ancestors.

In his words in the article – http://credomutwa.com/about/biography-05/
Mysterious Africa the History of the Cross:
“This ankh was actually known by our people as the knot of eternity, or the knot of eternal life, and it was used even by Khoi San people, for purposes of healing. Who died each winter and was reborn again each spring…”

Thank you so much for reading the Blog and posting your comments. The Ankh appears in pre-creation, creation, life of mortals, preparation for death, death and the afterlife hieroglyphic texts and monument texts.

The part that you are talking about deals with the Ankhs role in the life of the Mortal and beyond. Here you deal with the Mysteries that Man and Women have dominion over. The Egyptians or People of Kemet believed that the nine souls are parts of the mortal that have a direct connection to the creator and the Ntrs and that the life on earth have some connection as to their power.

When the Heart is weighed against the feather of truth - The Deity Tuhuti will be there to along with Maat to Judge. In the Cosmologies especially the Hermopolis cosmology they were there in the beginning. There role as the heart/soul is tested with the confessions and decelerations is interesting because it is at this point that the soul Lives are not. Thus the appearance of the two ntrs.

The cosmology and the interrelations of Ancient Kemet are complex and their is a continuity of cosmologies. At some point we will return to this subject but the relationship is astounding. Thank you for your post.

Bro. Reggie,

First, Congrats on your theory on the Secret Of The Ankh! Just a thought, After viewing your video and reading the information on this website I seemed to have made a correlation between the 9 Enneads that you highlighted in the cosmology and the 9 parts of the soul. In George GM James Stolen Legacy pages 122-125 he states that In the Egyptian Book of The Dead we find the human soul is composed of the following nine inseparable parts: Ka, Khat, Ba, Ab, Kaibit, Akhu /Khu, Sahu, Sekkem, and the Ren. Each 9 parts of the soul has attributes just like the 9 Enneads. Wallis Bulge explains them in the E.B.O.T.D Doctrine Of Eternal Life Introduction pages lv-lxxxi also the nine souls are mentioned throughout the E.B.O.T.D.

If I can borrow from the phrase "As above so below" I think this speaks volumes to your Ankh theory and may brings it full circle by linking the Ankh’s role in cosmology to formation of the God/soul (9 Enneads) and passing on his likeness to mankind’s 9 soul counterparts.

I would like to suggest that mankind’s quest in life is to become a living Akhu/Ankh while on earth. When the bible talks about the transfiguration of the Christ, he actually becomes a living Ankh/Akhu. (Mathew17: 1) “There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. The Christ tells his disciple the benefits of those who become living spiritual beings on earth. (Luke 9:27) "I tell you some of you will not taste death before you reach the Kingdom of Heaven" Those who become living Ahku's will skip the judgment scene and go directly to Heaven/Amenta to join the other Khu's and merge with God. Bro. Reggie, I agree with you when you suggest that to say that the Ankh means life is an attempt to shorten its true value & significance. The Ankh may be the master key to enlightenment & spiritual resurrection.

I could be stretching it but I believe that our ancestors were laying out their theology within the Ankh as the symbol to explain creation and give mankind the road map to understand the beginning Seb Tepi and return to the source- The Universal God soul.

Hotep!

You have presented a tremendous amount of information here on your blog. I have just begun to read it and it will take some time before I get through it all. Thank you for you dedication and hard work. I listened to you tonight on a BlogTalk radio show and would like to speak with you briefly--at your convenience of course. Thanks.
